LITTLE before the actual wedding British journalist Malcolm Muggeridge wrote that "in these difficult times and changes, only the visionaries, the Marxists and the Jehovah's Witnesses venture to predict whether Prince Charles and Lady Diana ever actually rise to the throne as king and Queen of England. " Mr. Muggeridge was, of course, wrong. Jehovah's Witnesses do not make any prediction of this kind. What Jehovah's Witnesses say, however, is that if Charles to the throne of England, his kingdom is likely to be of short duration. Why? Not because of any failure on the part of the prince. Nor because of any real probability of a Republican revolution in Britain. No, the reason is much deeper. Bible prophecy indicates that the British monarchy, along with all others, will soon be replaced by a monarchy much better - one that will be able to carry out many much-needed programs that Prince Charles himself certainly approve. In fact, certain statements of the prince indicate a remarkable harmony between your desires and goals of the coming world monarchy under the reign of Jesus Christ. Here are three examples: I. Fair Trial "There are many people who are judged by external appearance," said Prince Charles during a recent visit to a psychiatric hospital. You have to keep repeating to yourself that, often, appearances are deceptive. "The desire of the prince to avoid making superficial judgments is certainly commendable, but is there really any man who has enough insight to do this? According to God properly emphasized his prophet Samuel: "The mere man sees what appears to the eye, but as for Jehovah, he sees what the heart is." (1 Samuel 16:7) Jehovah gave this ability to his Son. Therefore, Jesus could say: "Ye judge after the flesh: I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is truthful, because I'm not alone, but the Father who sent me is with me. "- John 8:15, 16. Although in the first century Jesus was not sent to earth as judge, there is no doubt that will serve as a Judge of Jehovah in the coming kingdom of God. Relative to this time, the prophet Isaiah foretold that "no judge by any mere appearance to his eyes, nor reprove simply according to the thing heard by his ears. And will judge with justice the lowly ones, and must give reproof in righteousness for the benefit of the meek of the earth. " (Isaiah 11:3, 4) How refreshing perspective! II. The Golden Rule "The only motto that I follow," said the prince to visit a factory, "is: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' Want to put myself in the situation of others. I hope well be able to act reasonably well. " Certainly, Prince Charles has an excellent motto. You may have noticed that he quoted the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, where he said: "All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, you also must likewise do to them: that, indeed, is what the Law and the Prophets mean. "- Matthew 7:12. Who then could follow this "motto" better than Jesus himself? It was not his whole life devoted to doing good to people? No wonder that the Bible refers to it as the "great pastor" at last "up his soul for the benefit of the sheep." (John 10:11) Indeed, Jesus again and again showed his interest in doing good for humanity. III. Near The End of Hate "There is so much intolerance everywhere, is staggering. Fear ... ignorance. ... Whatever the reasons behind it, is a tragic situation. Because in the end we must all get along, otherwise how will the future? "The prince was speaking here of a serious problem in British society, but his observations apply equally today in most countries of the world. They are very commendable aversion of Prince Charles to racial hatred and his personal example of good will toward men of all races, but what you can do Prince Charles, or any human ruler to change the deeply held prejudices? Just as most people realize. With the kingdom of God, however, is different. The Bible assures us that realize the dream of man for centuries with respect to universal brotherhood. "(Revelation 7:9, 10) Yes, John saw the people who live under the reign of God, and these people had no divisions national or racial. Worshiped God together harmoniously, like Jehovah's Witnesses already do this now in all parts of the world. Your Decision The excellent qualities of the earthly representatives of monarchies, like Prince Charles, make them prized by many. However, their good qualities overshadow the face of Jesus Christ, "the image of the invisible God," Jehovah. (Colossians 1:15) Indeed, there is someone who would be ruler of this land better than Christ? No! But as we know that the kingdom of God really govern this land, and that is not just a vague state of mind, according to many think? More importantly, what evidence is there that such a kingdom will begin very soon its rule, certainly in the lifetime of today's most monarchs? Our next article will answer these important questions.* "The kingdom of God is coming!" We do not want bad things to anyone, but we know that the Bible does not fail. Tampouco devido a alguma probabilidade real de uma revolução republicana na Grã-Bretanha. Não, a razão é muito mais profunda. A profecia bíblica indica que a monarquia britânica, junto com todas as outras, será em breve substituída por uma monarquia muito melhor — uma que será capaz de levar avante numerosos programas muito necessários que o próprio príncipe Charles certamente aprovará. De fato, certas declarações do príncipe indicam uma notável harmonia entre seus desejos e as metas da vindoura monarquia mundial sob o reinado de Jesus Cristo. Eis aqui três exemplos: I. Julgamento Justo “São muitas as pessoas que são julgadas pela aparência externa”, comentou o príncipe Charles durante uma recente visita a um hospital psiquiátrico. É preciso continuar a repetir a si mesmo que, muitas vezes, as aparências enganam.” O desejo do príncipe de evitar fazer julgamentos superficiais é certamente elogiável, mas será que existe realmente algum homem que tem suficiente discernimento para fazer isso? Segundo Deus frisou adequadamente a seu profeta Samuel: “O mero homem vê o que aparece aos olhos, mas quanto a Jeová, ele vê o que o coração é.” (1 Samuel 16:7) Jeová deu tal habilidade a seu Filho. Por conseguinte, Jesus podia dizer: “Vós julgais segundo a carne; eu não julgo a nenhum homem. E, contudo, se eu julgo, o meu julgamento é veraz, porque não estou sozinho, mas o Pai, que me enviou, está comigo.” — João 8:15, 16. Embora no primeiro século Jesus não fosse enviado à terra como juiz, não resta dúvida de que servirá na qualidade de Juiz de Jeová sob o vindouro reino de Deus. Relativo a tal tempo, o profeta Isaías predisse que “não julgará pelo que meramente parece aos seus olhos, nem repreenderá simplesmente segundo a coisa ouvida pelos seus ouvidos. E terá de julgar com justiça os de condição humilde e terá de dar repreensão com retidão em benefício dos mansos da terra”. (Isaías 11:3, 4) Que perspectiva reanimadora! II. A Regra Áurea “A única divisa que eu sigo”, comentou o príncipe ao visitar uma fábrica, “é: ‘Faça aos outros aquilo que gostaria que lhe fizessem.’ Procuro colocar-me na situação dos outros. Espero assim poder agir razoavelmente bem”. Certamente o príncipe Charles tem uma excelente divisa. Talvez tenha notado que ele citou as palavras de Jesus no Sermão do Monte, em que disse: “Todas as coisas, portanto, que quereis que os homens vos façam, vós também tendes de fazer do mesmo modo a eles; isto, de fato, é o que a Lei e os Profetas querem dizer.” — Mateus 7:12. Quem, pois, poderia seguir essa “divisa” melhor do que o próprio Jesus? Não foi a sua vida inteira consagrada a fazer o bem às pessoas? Não é de admirar que a Bíblia se refira a ele como o “pastor excelente” que por fim “entrega a sua alma em benefício das ovelhas”. (João 10:11) Deveras, Jesus mostrou vez após vez seu interesse em fazer o bem para a humanidade. III. O Fim Próximo do Ódio “Há tanta intolerância em toda a parte, é estarrecedor. O medo . . . a ignorância. . . . Quaisquer que sejam as razões por trás disso, é uma situação trágica. Porque no fim das contas temos todos de nos dar bem, do contrário como será o futuro?” O príncipe falava aqui de um grave problema na sociedade britânica, mas as observações dele são aplicáveis da mesma forma hoje à maioria dos países do mundo. São muito elogiáveis a aversão do príncipe Charles ao ódio racial e seu exemplo pessoal de boa vontade para com homens de todas as raças, mas o que pode fazer o príncipe Charles, ou qualquer outro regente humano, para mudar os preconceitos profundamente arraigados? Pouco, conforme a maioria das pessoas se dão conta. Com o reino de Deus, porém, é diferente. A Bíblia nos assegura de que concretizará o sonho de há séculos do homem com respeito à fraternidade universal. Dessemelhante dos governos humanos, o reino de Deus operará à base do princípio que o apóstolo Pedro reconheceu, ao dizer: “Certamente percebo que Deus não é parcial, mas, em cada nação, o homem que o teme e que faz a justiça lhe é aceitável.” — Atos 10:34, 35. Não é de admirar que o apóstolo João visse em visão “uma grande multidão, que nenhum homem podia contar, de todas as nações, e tribos, e povos, e línguas, em pé diante do trono e diante do Cordeiro . . . dizendo: ‘Devemos a salvação ao nosso Deus, que está sentado no trono, e ao Cordeiro.’” (Revelação 7:9, 10) Sim, João viu as pessoas que viverão sob o reino de Deus, e essas pessoas não tinham divisões nacionais nem raciais. Adoravam a Deus harmoniosamente unidas, assim como as Testemunhas de Jeová já fazem isso agora em todas as partes do mundo. A Sua Decisão As excelentes qualidades dos representantes terrestres de monarquias, como o príncipe Charles, fazem com que sejam prezados por muitos. Contudo, suas boas qualidades se eclipsam diante das de Jesus Cristo, “a imagem do Deus invisível”, Jeová. (Colossenses 1:15) Realmente, há alguém que seria melhor regente desta terra do que Cristo? Não! Mas, como sabemos que o reino de Deus governará realmente esta terra, e que não é apenas um vago estado mental, segundo muitos pensam? Mais importante ainda, que evidência há de que tal reino começará muito em breve sua dominação, certamente no período de vida da maioria dos monarcas atuais? Nosso artigo seguinte responderá a essas importantes perguntas. * " A monarquia divina está chegando!" Não desejamos coisas ruins para ninguem, mas sabemos que a Biblia não falha. (minha observação)
